This afternoon course is perfect for street riders eager to explore off-road riding in a supportive beginner-friendly environment.
Instead of jumping straight onto a full-size adventure bike, you’ll start with a lightweight 250cc dirt bike designed for off-road use. This setup takes away the intimidation factor, builds your confidence and helps you master the fundamentals under the guidance of our professional instructors.

Course Time: The course runs from 1:15 PM to 4:15 PM, and we ask that you arrive by 12:45 PM.
Requirements: Participants must hold an M2 or M Class license and be at least 25 years of age.
What’s Included: Your fee covers full safety gear along with access to both a lightweight 250cc off-road dirt bike and a BMW GS.
What You’ll Learn: You’ll start with the fundamentals, including positioning, surface awareness, clutch control, and basic riding techniques.
On the BMW GS: Once you’ve built confidence, you’ll switch to a BMW GS to practice road riding, navigating gravel roads, handling the main pit area, exploring farm trails, and developing standing techniques.
Gear: Safety gear is provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

A $2,000 damage deposit is required to participate.
At SMART Adventures, we know off-road riding can leave a few scratches — and that’s okay. We don’t charge for minor cosmetic scuffs on our dirt bikes or BMW GS motorcycles. With professional crash protection, serious damage is rare.
You’ll only be responsible for damages caused by reckless or negligent riding. If a part needs repair or replacement, you’ll pay only the cost of the part — no extra labour or hidden fees.
Before riding, all participants receive a safety orientation to encourage smart, responsible riding and reduce risks.

Learning to trail ride on dirt bikes here was an absolute blast. Clinton is an exceptional instructor, and if you happen to get him, consider yourself in very good hands. I highly recommend choosing the 3-hour option over the 2-hour course because you learn valuable additional skills in that extra hour. Arrive early to get properly fitted for your gear.
